Solar panel installation commences

Writer: SteamBioAfricaSteamBioAfrica

The site work of laying the foundation structures for the 308 kW solar system has commenced. The system will have an 800 kWh battery storage capacity, thus ensuring the SteamBioAfrica biomass processing plant has ample renewable energy on a 24-hour basis. Naba Consulting Engineers, Namibia, has been contracted to perform the necessary work and the video above shows their team in action at the Cheetah Conservation Fund's Biomass Technology Demonstration site near Otjiwarongo, Namibia. Completion of the works will coincide with the arrival of the Biomass Processing Unit currently in transit to Namibia's port of Walvis Bay.
