Last week, the Evenor team participated in the ESA Symposium on Earth Observation for Soil Protection and Restoration, held from the 6th to the 7th of March 2024. Francisco José Blanco-Velázquez presented research on monitoring organic soil carbon and other soil variables in Namibia's Otjozondjupa region, home to the Biomass Processing plant at Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). Further discussions also covered the SBA project's environmental objectives, research methodology, and land-use scenarios, all aimed at scaling up the process to explore opportunities for carbon farming practices using monitoring and clean technologies in the medium and long term.
